Online and In-Person Services

Online sessions are held from the safety of your own home that is convenient for you through our easy scheduling platform.


In-person sessions offer a safe space with a relaxing setting to learn skills and process emotions. Physical office is located in Waldorf, Maryland.

Therapy Styles

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a structured therapy style that introduces skills to regulate emotion. DBT is broken into 4 modules to teach individuals how to change ineffective behaviors (self harm, substance use, etc) influenced by intense emotions including:


  • Mindfulness 
  • Distress Tolerance
  • Emotion Regulation
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness 


While we do not implement the truest structure of a certified DBT program, skills are tailored to each individual in their therapeutic journey.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a therapy style that focuses on how to manage your thinking pattern. Thoughts, emotions and behaviors influence each other. We teach you how to recognize thinking errors and how to reframe them to change behaviors.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

MI is a counseling style to increase motivation to change behavior. There are 6 stages to motivating change which include:


  • Precontemplation
  • Contemplation
  • Preparation
  • Action
  • Maintenance
  • Relapse 


This style helps to empathize with difficulty in changing unhealthy behaviors and holding one accountable to realistic goals for healthier behaviors.

Positive Psychology

Positive Psychology is a newer therapy style that emphasizes strengths and attributes to promote positive emotions. Your therapist gets to cheer you on in the present and still hold you accountable for continued growth in the future.
